Welcome to the Research Group SecUSo- IT-Security, Usability and Society

The group, founded at TU Darmstadt in February 2012 and headed by Prof. Dr. Melanie Volkamer, holds strong expertise in various security aspects of electronic voting, as well as usable security and privacy. The research group is closely affiliated with Prof. J Buchmann's group Cryptography and Computer Algebra.

We are also closely affiliated with the Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt (CASED).
CASED is a research center jointly established by Technische Universität Darmstadt, Fraunhofer SIT and Hochschule Darmstadt. It is funded primarily by the LOEWE program of the federal state of Hesse. CASED is Germany's largest research center for IT security and privacy.
